We were looking for an interesting back splash on a budget that would be easy to install and discovered these tiles. The tiles are beautiful and look even better than the picture. I really can say nothing bad about them aesthetically, we do love the final look otherwise I would have given the a 1 star. The problem with the tiles is that although they come in "squares" each of the smaller shapes are actually an individual tile connected to the square by the adhesive on the back. Why is this a problem? Because they seemed to stretch or shift when we were trying to apply them so we had issues with the tiles not fitting together correctly or there being gaps. In the end I had to take most of them apart individually to get them to fit correctly. Needless to say, what we expected to be a couple hour project ended up taking two days and was extremely frustrating. Other points to note: 1. The tiles cut well if you have a sharp blade. They can get a sharp edge but you can smooth this down. 2. Make sure you buy extra. The tiles dent if you drop them or something bumps them hard. Due to the shifting issue we also had to recut the edges on both sides to make it line up. 3. You 100% need edging because the raw edge will look unfinished and you will see the layers of materials behind the tile. I didn't buy the edging that was recommended because I wanted 1 piece. There is plenty out there but you have to be careful to look at the color because this is more of a brushed stainless finish and isn't very shiny.
